Old-Time Usage

I discovered my old baseball glove in a closet, a glove I had 60 years ago when I was playing Little League. I decided to give it to my grandson. It was in remarkably good shape except for the leather being dried out. What to use? I remembered 60 years ago we used neatsfoot oil, so I tried to find some. Couldn't find it in hardware stores here, so found it on line. It worked wonderfully, making the leather soft, and it had no oily residue after a day or two of soaking in. My grandson loved it - seldom put it down the whole time he was here. Of course, he wanted to play baseball all the time, so now I'm looking for some old-time ointments to assuage my sore joints and muscles.

Neatsfoot also works on wood! --

I have a very old carved wooden Chinese cedar chest (probably purchased in the 1950's). It had been stored in a garage, and the wood was dry, dry, dry. I put Neatsfoot generously on the deep-carved wood, and the change was amazing! Brought back a shiny, rich shine to the wood! You might want to try on a small sample piece of your wood, but I was very impressed!!!

Great for work boots

Used this on my work boots to soften the leather and to try and extend their life. It worked great, but be warned, if you dont want the color of your boots to change then don't use this oil. It will darken the leather quite noticeably but i dont really care since it's just a work boot.
