5A little pricey but I haven't found anything better, A very efficient product.
By Dan K
This is one of those products that stands alone. I bought this item back in 2003 and I haven't come across a product that performs better. Keep in mind that some other companies sell a similar towel and I'm sure it performs just as well. I just stick to Griot's because they have the lifetime warranty.

Before I purchased this towel, I used to use cotton towels which tend to absorb very little and instead push more water around. They also leave behind lint no matter how many times you try to "season" the towel. Then I used a product called the "Absorber." I think it is a synthetic chamois but I just grew tired of it. This drying towel is superior to any other drying product for a few reasons.

1. The waffle-weave design is perfect for absorbing water and not introducing new swirl marks.
2. It has hand pockets sewn in so moving it around your paint is easy.
3. It's big enough that one towel will dry a medium sized car in no time.
4. It 's very efficient; it cuts your drying time down considerably.

My advice regarding using this towel is to make sure that you do a final rinse of your car with a flat stream of water so that most of the water sheets off. Don't try to dry a car that has too much water already on the surface as the towel can only absorb so much. Just remember to do that final rinse and this towel will work 10x better. Also, you might be tempted to dry off some dirty parts of your car like the windshield cowel but don't do it. Don't stain this towel. Use this towel only on the painted surfaces and then use the Griot's door jamb towel for dirty spots. Do your best to keep this towel clean. I have never washed this towel since 2003 because it never got dirty and I just air dry it after every use.

I liked this towel so much that I bought two. If they ever discontinue it, I don't know what else I would use.

Five stars.

5the best towel I've ever owned
By J. York
I got two of these for my birthday a few years back. They are the best towels I've ever owned. Griot's includes thoughtful innovations such as the little "pockets" that your hands fit into while maneuvering the towel. These towels have remained soft with years of usage and are as absorbent today as the day I received them. The price is ridiculous but I am still tempted to buy them as a gift for my motorcycle enthusiast dad.

Based on my time with these, I believe this is something worth splurging on.

5Simple: These are the best!
By Robert in CA
Have always taken time (and pride) in caring for my cars. Early days, it was a top quality chamois -- fine, but not the best solution. Moved on to pure cotton towels for a full dry -- again, fine, but cotton towels do not hold much water and while soft, I was concerned about scratching. Reluctantly, I tried Griot's Micro Fiber drying towels. Simply put, these are fantastic -- complete dry, no scratching (even on black paint), and, after using them for five years now, there is no substitute.
