This is made from a good quality plastic, plus it fits nicely in a homedepot or lowes 5 gallon bucket.

Don't scratch your car when you wash it.

Most of us have tried to wash a car with a five gallon bucket and found that when you dip the rag or sponge back in the bucket and swirl it or shake it to get the dirt off the dirt on the bottom of the bucket swirls up and some of it redeposits on the rag. This product does what it claims and both gives you a place to scrub the dirt off and helps to prevent the dirt from being stirred up off the bottom of the bucket. Using two of them stacked in the bucket really keeps the water clean.

A must have for car washing

The grit guard is a basic utility but is a staple of every single car wash. The grit guard saves your mitts and saves your paint by not allowing the wash mitt to sit in the dirty water at the bottom of your wash bucket.

The only think better would be a taller grit guard.
