One of the most useful products for plastics

I originally purchased this to try to remove a scratch on an acrylic instrument panel cover on my BMW R1200RT motorcycle. My only two choices were repair or replace. Repair would cost me $180 for the plastic cover AND about 2 hours of time to replace. Or the few dollars for this Novus product. On the motorcycle discussion forums, nearly everyone recommended it, and I though "oh well, it can't hurt). It was amazing. I then tried it on a motorcycle helmet face shield which I had scratched. Fixed. I started to look for things to repair. It was like a game for me.

It cannot repair deep scratches, but what will? This product is more for surface scratches, those that you can't feel with your fingernail. Also, it works best on acrylic, which is a softer plastic. If you have polycarbonate (also called Lexan), you need the Novus #3 polish, followed by the #2. But that works too.

Great product for a small cost. Can't complain about that!

Good Stuff

Nothing is more irritating to me than to be watching a DVD movie and it freezes up. And nothing works on a disc to remove surface damage like Novus. My last 2 oz. bottle lasted over a year in cleaning damaged rental or library DVD's so they were viewable again. My neighbor wanted some so I ordered the 8 oz size this time. It is good on any plastic surface I've used it on, especially scratched sunglasses.

Great for removing scratches in plastic!

I had a scratched DVD LCD display in my vehicle. I thought I would have to replace it. I tried this out and it worked great. The scratch is gone.
