Back to Black...until the next rain!

I have read all the reviews for Mother's Back To Black, and frankly, I am a little surprised that no one has mentioned the "rain factor" with this product. I used to use this on my Volvo bumpers because over the years, they had faded from black to grey. The Back to Black did make the bumpers look nice; however, as soon as the next rainfall, the stuff would run off the bumpers and cause really ugly streaks. Likewise, every time I washed the car, applications of the Back to Black became an additional step during the washing process. Well, I got tired of that really fast.

For those who use this product and love having to continually apply and re-apply it over and over again, enjoy! However, for those who are looking for a permanent remedy to your faded trim, use Forever Black. It is also available here on Amazon. I applied 6 coats of the stuff back in September of last year (2007). As of right now, the bumpers on my car look BETTER than they did on the day I bought the car (3 years ago). The bumpers look fantastic and the Forever Black is not affected by rain, or any other weather conditions. Actually, I am quite shocked that Forever Black is not better known that it is.

Works better then advertised...

I've tried every blackening product out there, Black-Magic, Armor All, Meguiar's, and even my own concoction and none work as well as this. Not only that, it lasts about 3-4 weeks outside in the weather, which I find amazing.

Also it seems like the more you use it, the better it looks and the longer it stays black. Plus it has a pleasant smell, which is always nice.

The only complaint I have is that it is a bit runny, which can make applying it a bit hard, but it's still worth every cent.

A must have for anyone with black trim/molding!

Great product that WORKS! Especially if you follow DIRECTIONS!

I purchased this product for faded gray trim on an '05 Wrangler. I am happy to say that back to black successfully restored the color of my fender flares to "like new" condition. Best of all, it stayed that way for several weeks, despite lots of bad weather.

The folks on here that complain of "streaking" or the results not lasting, must not be following the directions properly. The product must be MASSAGED WELL into the trim/moulding, allowed to dry, than buffed with a soft cloth or microfiber towel. If these simple directions are followed, the product does not streak when it gets wet, and the results LAST!

Simply wiping it on like Armor-All and letting it sit will not work properly.

I highly recommend this high quality product. Just make sure you follow the DIRECTIONS!!
